Archaeological finds from the Harappan site of Rakhigarhi reveal some of earliest roots of Indian people and culture. Haryana is the fabled battlefield of Kurukshetra (Mahabharata) where the Bhagavad Gita was first spoken. Some of its mounds excavated so far show remains and artwork from the ancient to the medieval era. It is home to sacred tanks, stupa and temples, Haryana pulses with myth and memory.
